Just once I’d like to see it work the way I used to do for bowling. Just before throwing the ball I would visualize a perfect strike. I could tune out all the noise of the bowling alley just for that second or two. I did it three times in a row and decided to stop before someone questioned me. It actually happened so much that the challenge of competition was no longer there so I lost interest.

Mental visualization works for many sports too. You don’t even have to actually be playing, just mentally visualizing it. Why doesn’t it work for the lottery? I don’t know.

I log on to the lottery, and click on to the frequency use of the all the balls, and try and narrow it down that way

Hello. Have seen many adverts from people saying they can win the lottery by software but if it was that good that it pays to have this software and win it often and same with lucky numbers yes some numbers do come up more then others, like number 38, but then people got just one lucky dip and won so really it seems just pick your own numbers and hope for the best.

My comment is, prediction could be the wrong word. I’d say if one works the numbers smartly/cleverly the chances are greater. I have been trying my own mathematical/statistical system and off by one or two digits every draw on half my numbers picked. But, I still win very small dollars in many draws. I do believe the lottery systems are a science and fun to try to beat.

The word prediction to me, means just guessing off the top of your head and that just doesn’t work, at least it has not for me.

Much has been made about lotto companies going broke if some one did manage to come up with a workable method of prediction. This is complete BS. The lotto company wins NO MATTER who wins or how many winners there are.

WHY? Because each division has a prize pool based on a percentage of the total net prize pool. The net prize pool is what the lottery company makes available after taking out tax and their profit cut from that draws sold tickets.

I have seen total allocated prize pools that are less than 50% of the value of tickets sold. Remember lotto are mostly run by governments or under strict government control and they take their tax cut from ticket sales. And then in some States they take another cut from your winnings as income/gambling profit tax.

On a 6 from 45 Australian Lotto game I can regularly predict that 1 number will be a repeat from last weeks drawn numbers. BUT which one? I have to guess! I do have a method of picking numbers which has proven to be more successful than random chance but it still does not make money as it is only the bottom dividend every couple of months. But if I won the jackpot. . . I would still be just a lucky player.

There are fixed prizes too, as well as games like Pick 3 which operate only on fixed payout prizes. But you’re right, there is always small print here too to ensure that the payouts can’t send the lottery company bust. I was just trying to make a point without getting too complicated. If everybody always won, the payouts would likely be so small that nobody really wins – depending on that games finer rules. But thanks for pointing this out 🙂

When you say you can regularly predict 1 number, have you noted down the frequency this occurs to try and calculate if there is any significance to it? Because with 6 balls from a range of 1-45 there is a pretty good chance 1 of those will come up entirely at random anyway. Especially if it only ‘regularly’ works rather than every time.

I am not predicting lottery. Nobody can accurately predict the lottery.

Based on the sum total of the number like 547 adds to 16 if your number addds up from 12 to 18 you have a better chance to hit.

    • LG

Sorry Carlo but sums do not help you. This is poor information spread by the likes of the Gail Howard company.

Yes, there are more sums that add up to certain numbers. But you don’t win anything for matching the sum of the numbers, only for matching the exact numbers. So the sums are actually irrelevant.

Just want to mention another thing I have noticed. Have you seen how so many of the lottery winners happened to owe their state a considerable sum of money before they won?

My observation has been that a recent winner said his wife asked him to stop and get some hot dog buns on the way home, so when he saw how large the jackpot was, he decided to buy some tickets. He didn’t use any type of “system”.

If you read the stories of some that have won, you will see they just went into a certain place, or any place, decided to buy a few tickets, and won.

    Just food for thought.

I’ve tried several things but nothing seems to work. All they want is my money that’s all.
