What Is a EuroMillions Syndicate?

What is a EuroMillions syndicate?

A EuroMillions syndicate is where you play the EuroMillions lottery in a group of people to get a better chance of winning it.

How Does a EuroMillions Syndicate Work?

The way a EuroMillions syndicate works is everybody puts their money together and the whole pot is then used to buy tickets. Any winnings from those tickets are then shared between the whole group.

Why do this? Because when everyone puts their money together you can collectively buy a lot more tickets/entries. And this is what gives you a big increase in your chances of winning EuroMillions. The more entries you buy the greater your chances of winning. So if your group buys 100 entries that is literally 100 times the chances of winning.

Most EuroMillions syndicates will play in every Tuesday and Friday draw, but it can be just one of those – or even less often, whatever the syndicate group choose to do. The most popular set up is for each player to fund one entry per draw. This makes it very low cost for everyone, while still getting a big boost in your chances of winning versus playing on your own.

The prizes do have to be shared of course, so bear that in mind. EuroMillions does have very large jackpots however so this usually isn’t a problem, even for quite large syndicates.

There is no special requirement to setting up a EuroMillions syndicates. Anyone can do it – just don’t underestimate how much work this will be. Make sure you put together a good solid syndicate agreement between the group right from the start and you shouldn’t have any problems.

If you don’t want the work of running your own, there there are plenty of commercial lottery syndicates you can join instead. The value for money does vary a lot though so choose carefully.
