Yes, the Pick 3 lottery is much easier to win. But as a lottery game, it pretty much sucks.
Because you might just as well be feeding your money into a slot machine.

How To Win The Pick 3 Lottery – ish!
Harvey // Aug 22, 2011 at 11:13 am
It would be smart for OLG, for one, to drop
the pick-3/4 games and simply offer bigger
initial jackpots in the pick-6/7 games.
Then again, we’re talking about a Government
entity, so…..! 😉

I totally agree with you because you find yourself losing more money at these two games and not making any money at all. I will admit this myself, for at least three months I have been trying to win small monies with these two games and have won absolutely nothing at all. Even with the help of other software I still have no luck what so ever.

Hello,
I disagree with you on that, there are a few ways to win Pick 3 regularly. The problem is (what you choose to settle for). Plus you don’t have play every day, just a few times a week. I can prove it
thanks
LG // Sep 4, 2011 at 5:33 am
Sure, it’s possible to win regularly – because the odds are much easier. But the odds are a lot easier because the prizes are a heck of a lot smaller. Pick 3 is like a slot machine – it pulls you in with lots of small wins, then you put it all back in again… There is no way to ‘beat it’, just like every lottery game – it’s luck.
Bridgette Williams // Sep 6, 2011 at 6:55 am
Okay Darryl, what is your secret?
Jack Penland // Nov 25, 2014 at 4:35 pm
I would certainly like to hear about any way you have come across to win Pick 3 regularly.
LG // Nov 30, 2014 at 11:28 pm
Don’t hold your breath Jack 🙂
Playing every day, buying lots of tickets and frequently ‘being close’ (no such thing as close) seem to be the traits of the Pick 3 player. And most significantly forgetting that there’s a HUGE difference between winning regularly and making a profit. You can win regularly on a slot machine, but you’ll never come out far enough ahead to consider it profitable. Unless you get a lot of enjoyment from playing Pick 3, choose a better game.
Chris // Jun 21, 2015 at 4:00 pm
Can you teach me your Pick 3 techniques?
LG // Jun 23, 2015 at 12:08 am
Chris, you’ll see these claims around a lot, but they never hold up to scrutiny. Read my earlier reply here. The best way to win with Pick 3 is to stop playing it and choose a better game 🙂
Harvey // Sep 5, 2011 at 7:44 pm
Let’s see what a Straight Win was worth in
OLG’s Pick 3 Daily, each draw for the last week of August, keeping in mind a player might win ONE of the draws:
$507.60
$404.10
$645.60
$500.40
$568.20
$659.40
$451.80
If you want peanuts, try Bulk Barn 😉

How do you win this? I’d like to learn?
LG // Mar 8, 2017 at 1:14 am
You win by choosing a better game and never touching Pick 3 ever again 🙂
Harvey // Sep 12, 2011 at 10:10 pm
What th’ heck….?!
Can wager up to $10 on a Pick 3?!
For that money, you could play FIVE
Lotto 6/49 or TWO Lotto-Max!!
Duh, one must say!
Bill Berg // Jan 14, 2012 at 10:42 pm
I agree, not much to win with the pick 3.
Runwiththewinners // May 25, 2012 at 2:34 am
Playing the Pick 3 and even the Pick 4 is a total waste of time. By the time you win, it won’t even be worth it. There’s not much strategy to it either. Better to play something you won’t win as often, but when you do win it counts for something.
Remember. Run with the winners!
LG // May 25, 2012 at 2:37 am
Yup.
Brian // Oct 28, 2012 at 4:59 am
Some statements presented here are not true. The Pick 3 game can definitely be beaten and made worthwhile. I make from 200%-700+% ROI. The game has been cracked.
LG // Oct 28, 2012 at 4:20 pm
Oh absolutely, it’s like a cash machine really – the lottery company love giving away free money to all.
So all we have to do is send you $97 for the secret..?
Evelyn // Aug 30, 2013 at 10:33 am
LOLLL
Bryce // Aug 20, 2014 at 2:46 pm
I’m thinking of doing a lotto pool with pick 3, please explain the crack you figured out?
LG // Aug 20, 2014 at 7:52 pm
Honestly Bryce, he doesn’t really make a profit playing Pick 3. Nobody but the lottery company do.
By all means do a pool, but play a game with a jackpot to make it worthwhile instead.

I have some software that uses 2 charts and a code for each chart. If I could get the right code for each chart (which is 1 of 6) I could generate the exact 99.9% of the time. My big problem is figuring out how to come up with the right code(s). One thing I have noticed about the 10 digits that over a period of time they spread out over 4 to 8 different levels/groups, They fluctate between 5-6-7 most of the time with the average at 6. Seldom to they go to 4 or 8, For instance: 123-456-678-9…….that is only 4 groups where you have 3 digit combinations. For them to stay 4, the 9 would have to combine with 2 other digits either from the same group or 1 digit from 2 of the other groups. To move to 5, the 9 would be eliminated. Just have to track the number of groups and learn what will cause the groups to stay, expand or collapse. Sometimes 2 groups are used and other times 3 groups are used. Often time when 2 groups are used it will be a double.

Hi Anita
[I moved this comment to this post as it was about Pick 3 – so you probably didn’t see the post above before commenting. Basically – ditch Pick 3 as a game anyway, it’s just not a good game to play]
This is the problem with these amazing sounding pieces of software. All this stuff sounds so technical and mathematical and almost logical. Surely if we can just apply the right formula, crack that final pattern…
But none of it really makes any sense. These are balls bouncing around and randomly popping out – that’s how the game is designed – so why would software be able to predict what comes next based on charts and patterns? We can no more predict a Pick 3 game than we can a dice roll – and there’s only 6 combinations for that one 🙂
Anita // Sep 13, 2013 at 2:25 pm
One more comment to Pick 3 players. As we all know there are 1000 Exacts/Straights. Figure out 1 digit that is going to draw and what position it will be in (1st, 2nd or 3rd) and you will reduce your Odds from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 100. Why? There are exactly 100 combinations with any specific digit in any given position. Watch the Repeats out of the prior draw as 60-62% of the time (this will flucturate but usually no less then 50) a digit will repeat to the next draw. Sometimes even 2 digits repeat.
LG // Sep 19, 2013 at 12:42 am
The problem is you can’t figure which 1 is going to come out. It’s only a guess. So you’re not really reducing your odds at all. Digits repeat regularly simply because there are only a limited number of digits.
Carlos Sanchez // Feb 19, 2014 at 2:00 am
I can help improve your odds for the CA Daily 3.
LG // Feb 19, 2014 at 4:50 pm
Me too – buy more than 1 combination. Difference is, my method actually does improve your chances.
But Pick 3 is still the worst game choice. Nobody makes an income from Pick 3 – people claim it, but strangely can never prove it.
Frank Pedraza // Jun 26, 2015 at 7:45 pm
Dear Lottery Guy,
I agree with you. Pick 3 is not worth it since you tend to miss your numbers more often. This is due to the odds being higher than other lottery games. The payout for Pick 3 is horrible compared to Daily 4. Rather stick with Daily 4.
LG // Jun 27, 2015 at 12:20 am
Not sure that follows entirely Frank – the odds are better with Pick 3. But you’re right the payout is horrible, so you can’t ever walk away a big winner. Personally I wouldn’t go for anything less than a Pick 5 game though, but everyone has different ‘big enough’ requirements for a jackpot.
